At East Bergholt High School, Citizenship is delivered through the PSHE programme, through other school subjects (e.g. Geography, History, Belief and Ethics) and through discrete Citizenship sessions.  Sometimes, elements of Citizenship are delivered through specifically arranged events (e.g. outside speakers, the Mock Magistrates' Scheme, charity events, etc).  Year Leaders have responsibility for Citizenship delivery in their year group.  An Assistant Headteacher reviews and evaluates the Citizenship programme.

Citizenship is assessed by Tutors in Key Stage 3 and features in reports to parents.  In Key Stage 4, Citizenship is also reported upon as part of the PSHE/Citizenship report.  Assessment is monitored, in the first instance, by Year Leaders and further monitoring and evaluation by a Deputy Headteacher.
