PSHE

The aims of our Personal, Social and Health Education programme are to:

  • Promote students’ spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development.
  • Prepare students for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.

Our course content follows four key strands:

  • Health and well being
  • Relationships
  • Personal responsibility
  • Living in the wider world

PSHE lessons are delivered fortnightly by form tutors.  We also regularly welcome outside professionals to deliver key aspects of the programme.

We work hard to develop informative and interesting lessons which will provide the students with the skills which will enable them to be fully prepared for their life beyond school.  Programmes of study and lesson plans are regularly updated to focus on the key content and skills that students encounter as they move from Year 7 to Year 11.

Our lessons are based on the PSHE Association's curriculum guidance and incorporate a wide range of learning and teaching strategies.
